Judy Garland Museum

“When you get to know a lot of people, you make a great discovery . . .”

… You find that no one group has a monopoly on looks, brains, goodness or anything else. It takes all the people - black and white, Catholic, Jewish and Protestant, recent immigrants and Mayflower descendants - to make up America.”

~Judy Garland

(Just for fun, here’s an episode of The Judy Garland Show from 1963.)

TERRITORY ACKNOWLEDGEMENT:
This place is on the traditional territory of the Mdewakanton, Anishinabewaki and Očhéthi Šakówiŋ nations. (Crowdsourced info compiled by Native-Land.ca. Please visit the nations’ websites to learn more.)

BONUS CONTENT: Our visit to the Judy Garland Museum coincided with Last Week Tonight with John Oliver’s traveling “Masterpiece Gallery” appearance there (“As, I’m just going to assume, Judy would have wanted”). We were thrilled to view with our own eyes this incredible art paid for by HBO, and to hug a several-years-old, life-size cardboard cutout of Mr. Oliver himself.

A regional man of mystery enjoying parks, trails, and other stuff around the great state of Minnesota!
